Brown Sugar Banana Bread

  • Four ripe bananas, cut into chunks
  • One ¼ cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • One egg
  • One teaspoon cinnamon
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • One teaspoon of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F (175° C). Grease a loaf pan 9×5 inches.

  • Place the bananas in a large zipper bag. Seal the bag and smash the bananas with your fingers. Place the bananas in a large ziplock bag. Seal the bag and mash them with your fingers until they are well mashed. Mix the butter and brown sugar in a bowl. Continue to mix until it becomes light and fluffy. Take a corner off the plastic bag and place the mashed bananas in the bowl with the brown sugar mixture. Mix the bananas, egg whites, vanilla extract, milk, and cinnamon with the electric mixer. Continue beating until well combined. Slowly beat in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and kosher Salt until the batter is smooth. Place the batter in the prepared loaf pan.

  • Bake the bread in the oven for 40 minutes, or until it is golden brown on the top. The loaf should be clean when a toothpick is inserted in the middle.
